Last Wednesday, September 30, we had the pleasure of taking part in “Videojuegos y Turismo: Nuevas formas de atraer, entretener y fidelizar al visitante” (Videogames and Tourism: new ways to attract, entertain and build loyalty with visitors), an event organised by the Cámara de Comercio de Lanzarote (Lanzarote Chamber of Commerce) as part of “ImpulsaTech Lanzarote”, the technology programme of the Coworking Digital Lanzarote, funded by the Cabildo de Lanzarote.
In our talk, “Los videojuegos como embajadores de Canarias” (Videogames as ambassadors of the Canary Islands), we talked about our Canarian cultural videogames and showed them to the public.

First, we presented Risko – Shepherd’s Leap, an arcade game fully based on Canarian locations and the traditional local sport; we are currently working on its Steam and Nintendo Switch versions.
We also showed Brega, our work-in-progress project about lucha canaria (Canarian wrestling), which combines a videogame with a board game. During the event, attendees were able to play the physical prototype of the board game.
The feedback from the audience was very positive, and it is a great motivation for us to keep going with these projects.
We believe the relationship between tourism and Canarian videogames has a lot of potential and can create a great synergy in the Canary Islands: videogames can be one more way of sharing our traditions and our identity. At Daydream Software we are deeply connected to our cultures and roots, and we love showing them beyond our borders.
Many thanks to the Cámara de Comercio de Lanzarote, the Coworking Digital Lanzarote, the Cabildo de Lanzarote, the other speakers and everyone who joined us.
